ALIGNMENT
In Kallisti, alignment reflects the actions and dispositions of both PCs
(you) and NPCs (mobs) alike. There are three basic categories; Good,
Neutral, and Evil. As seen during the character creation phase, the alignment
chosen determines what character races and classes are available...Paladins
must be good, Necromancers must be evil, etc...
Also, many items in the game are magical in nature, and have an alignment
of their own. Thus a Paladin's Holy Avenger may have a flag on it called
"anti-evil", which would prohibit evil PCs from wielding it. Recite an
identify scroll on any object to see its properties. Finally, alignment is
not set in stone. If you are an evil rogue, and kill many evil mobs, your
alignment will (very) gradually rise, to the point where it will become
neutral and eventually good. If your alignment changes your aligned
equipment will not fall off but you will not get it back on if you remove
it or die.
Want to to change your alignment? Go one west of the Temple into the
Prayer Room. There, you can kneel and pray Order(+) or Chaos(-). This
will cost some gold. Kneel and type LIST to see the cost.
