Nothing to install. Open the Grapevine web client, find Legends of Kallisti, and play from any device — plenty of our regulars do.
Good for: trying the game right now.
Mudlet
Free and open source, on Windows, macOS and Linux. Kallisti speaks GMCP, so Mudlet can show your health, your room and your enemies live. Make a profile with the address above and connect.
Good for: playing properly.
In a terminal
The classic way. TinTin++ is the connoisseur's client, or go bare:

Your first minutes

Connect and follow the prompts to create an account. One account holds all of your characters, and what you unlock is shared between them.

Roll a character. Browse the races and classes first if you like to plan; you pick a specialisation later, so nothing is locked in on day one.

Type help newbie in game, and ask on the newbie channel — someone is nearly always about. The help database is here too.
