CHANNELS GOSSIP MUSIC RUDE SPORTS POLITICS VETERAN OBSCENE
These communication channels are heard across the MUD.
1) ADVICE - A channel for new/old players to ask questions. aka qa
2) GOSSIP - Primarily used to chat with other players. aka ooc
3) RP - For role-players. Also, used for tasks.
4) BARTER - Used to sell items to other players on the MUD. (AUCTION also)
5) ARENA - Used to relay the details of your glorious arena victories.
6) CC - Clan Chat. Can only be heard by fellow clan members.
7) HERO - Usable only by nobles.
8) REQUEST - Used to contact whatever game administrators that may be around.
9) DEVEL - Used for development of game ideas/suggestions.
10) MARKET - Buy low! Sell high! Keep track of your investments.
11) INFO - Keep track of who comes and goes.
12) MUSIC - When you feel like telling all "(I Can't Get No) Satisfaction".
13) POLITICS- Vote early and often!
14) QCHAT - Used during special quest events.
15) RUDE - Let it all out here, but if you can't stand the heat, stay out.
16) SPORTS - Try to be a good sport about it.
17) KINGDOM - Empires grow and crumble.
18) ARENA - What to challenge another play? This is the channel for you!
19) CLAN - Every clan has their own channel.
20) MUSIC - Used to sing lyrics or talk music. aka song
21) SHOUT - a channel for shouts across the entire mud
22) PKCHAT - A special channel for people with the PK flag
23) VETERAN - Have you played multiple versions of Kallisti? This channel is for you!
24) OBSCENE - A place where you can use all the bad words.
Note: You must be at least level 20 to use the RUDE or OBSCENE channel. Some
channels require an immortal to give players access to them.
Usage: gossip hello everyone, did you miss me?
barter Heartseeker for sale, 10mil!!!
arena I killed Riffe again, haha!
music Hey hey mama said the way you move...
rude Your mother was a hamster and your father smelt of elderberries!
etc.
You can go into automatic talkmode by using the TALKMODE command. See
the help file for talkmode for more info.
To turn a channel on or off use the TOGGLE command:
toggle <channel name> <ON | OFF>
Or you can use the CHANNEL command
channel <channel name>
An option to TOGGLE LANGUAGEFILTER exists that makes an attempt to suppress
any profanity on public channels that you might otherwise see.
