The COMBAT command will show you detailed combat statistics including
chances of swinging attacks.
Usage: combat
Recursive attacks refers to the combat system used for multiple hits at
Kallisti. Basically, each time you hit something, you have a chance to
swing again based on a variety of factors. These factors are (roughly
in order of importance):
Level
Class
Stamina (if very low)
Dexterity score
Whether you're using an offhand weapon
Rage, haste, slow, blind, bash
Hitroll
Weapon type
Weapon speed bonus
Weapon specialization level
Combat stance
The system allows for more variation and personal strategy in combat than
most other systems. For example, you could choose a heavy weapon that
does massive damage but is slow to swing in combat, or a small, lightweight
weapon that can be swung many times each round. Halfling and Elf races
become good options for warriors who want high dexterity to swing faster
than the slow ogres and trolls. Hitroll becomes much more effective as
well since it also affects how many extra swings you can get in combat.
Unless you are a Monk, you must be holding a weapon to get ANY percentage
on secondary weapons.
Classes that can rank in multi-attack:
Fighter: Fighter, Barbarian, Dreadlord, Paladin, Ranger, Valkyrie
Rogue: Rogue, Assassin, Bard, Demoniac
Priest: Templar
Monastic: Monastic, Monk, Samurai
The multi-attack skill increases your precent chance to make an attack with your
primary and off-hand weapon. The higher your rank in this skill the more attacks
you may attempt.
