GNOMES

Although neither cares to admit it, gnomes and dwarves are distantly related.
In fact, gnomes are sometimes mistaken for a skinny dwarf.  Gnomes are
insatiably curious, and many are mechanics and engineers, continuously
tinkering with new machines and ideas, none of which ever work quite as
intended.  They are as intelligent as any elf, but are lacking in wisdom.
Nimble but physically weak, gnomes that pursue a life of an adventurer tend to
be either magic users or mages.  The gnomes that are encountered here are not
your normal garden variety :)
