PORTS FUSEPORTS KALSTONES
Some items have 'ports' on them. Other items, "Kalstones," fit in those ports which will enhance the original item. And by enhance, that means change it in some fundamental way like making it durable, bigger, invisibler, or increase the number of charges on a wand, for example. But unlike that cool sweater you found, this isn't reversible. Fusing an item to another item is permanently permanent. Other things happen like the composition of the host item can change based on what you fuse into it and sometimes the value of the item changes if you stick jewels and stuff on it. Some Kalstones do more than one thing when fused. Like make the target item invisible. And with a stroke of genius, make it uninvisible at the same time. That's a bad example. Perhaps it makes it heavier at the same time. Here's a (partial) list of Kalstone effects: Durability - makes the target item more durable Brittle - makes the target item less durable Enlarge - I bet you can guess what this does Reduce - makes the target item smaller Weight - makes the target item heavier Featherweight - makes the item lighter (but not as light as a feather) Glow - this'll make the target item (&0fglow&--) Invisible - target items turns invisible Uninvisible - removes the aforementioned invisibility property Spellboost - increases the casting level of wands, staves, spellbooks, etc. !Good - makes the item unwearable by evil fools !Evil - makes the item unwearable by goody two shoes Speed - makes weapons and missile weapons faster Slug - makes weapons and missile weapons slower Charger - adds charges to wands, rods, staves, figurines, etc. Awesomer is the fact that some items have multiple "fuseports" so you can fuse multiple Kalstones to them for compounded effects. Usage: fuse <kalstone> <item with a fuseport> See Also: SOCKETS, PASSAGES (for info about boat ports)
