BACKSTAB BS
Type: combat Area of Effect: 1 target - touch Damage: weapon damage x (rank + (level / 2)) + damroll + rank x rank Class: Rogue, Assassin, Bard, Demoniac Backstabbing is the art of sneaking up on a person, and placing a sharp piercing weapon into a vital area of your target. The chance of successfully backstabbing a person depends on a combination of factors including your skill level at backstab, your level, your skill at hiding, circling, the level of your target, and the power of your weapon. Backstab will star combat which makes your target too alert for you to backstab again. Even after fleeing or retreating you targets who hasn't relaxed from the fury of combat may be too alert to sneak up on. You can backstab someone that is in combat as long as you are not their target, but it only does half the normal damage. It is also hard to sneak up on a foe if you are mounted and backstab will not allow you to advance on ranged foes. In a 3x3 group you might end up in the front after an attack. Backstab delay: Insta-kill, 1 handed weapon = no delay Insta-kill, 2 handed weapon = 1 round Normally, 1 handed weapon = 1-2 round delay Normally, 2 handed weapon = 2-3 round delay Usage: backstab <target> See Also: SKILLS, ROGUE, ASSASSINATE, RESISTANCES, TARGET
