RAKSHASA
Rakshasa are tiger-headed stalkers, a proud and predatory people who claim descent from a jungle that no longer appears on any map. They are quick, patient, and unsettling company. Every Rakshasa sees in the dark unaided and carries a long, restless tail. They move unseen and unheard from birth, and climb sheer walls where others would want rope. Their minds are hard ground for an enemy to work: a Rakshasa turns aside mental assault more surely as they grow in power. Divine power is another matter. Something in a Rakshasa offends it, and no amount of experience will ever soften that -- holy wrath falls on them harder than on any other race, at every level, from their first day to their last. The tail is not ornament. A stroke that would take another creature's leg will as often take the tail instead, and cost its owner far less. Rakshasa is not a race one is born to in Kallisti. It is taken, and only by those whose account has reached Paragon 57. See Also: RACES, PARAGON, CHANGERACE
