PRACTICES TRAINERS PRACS REGRESS LEARNED
PROFICIENCY POINTS are for improving proficiencies (such as forging, mining, etc).
SKILL POINTS are used for improving skills and spells (kick, zap, etc). See
skill points.
The PRACTICE command is the way you improve your spells and skills. You must
go to your guildmaster to practice skills. Type GUILD for directions..
Type PRACTICE to see which skills you can improve upon, how good you already are
at each one, and any prerequisites. The prerequisite in &0agreen&-- means that you need
to practice the requirement and in &0byellow&-- means that you don't. To practice a
skill type PRACTICE <skill> when you are in the same room as a 'trainer'. As
you advance in levels you will only gain a certain amount of skill points and
practice sessions. You can customize your character through the REGRESS command
to allow for greater creativity with your character. Regressing a skill unlearns
it and gives you the skill points back but costs gold and experience to do so.
You can also type LIST at a trainer, to see what spells or skills the trainer can
teach, what level they are available, ranks, prerequisites, and cost.
After you specialize there is a trainer in each guild to train skills and spells
for that specialization but there will continue to be some items that can only
be practiced at the central trainer for that class.
Also, there are additional trainers for proficiencies, swimming, and hunt that
are located elsewhere in the world. Please view the help for these items for
directions to those trainers.
