"PLAYER KILLING" "PLAYER STEALING" PKILLING PSTEALING PTHIEF PTHIEVING
&02 There are five methods for attacking other players with varying levels of risk as described below: &0FARENA&02 - Totaly risk free. No loss of stats, gold, equipment, or experience. &0FOUTLAW&02 - Outlaw players can attack other outlaw players. Being killed while outlaw will not result in the loss of stats, eq, or experience although unlike the arena, equipment may get damaged during the normal course of combat. You will lose a set amount of gold based on your level when pkilled. Outlaws get a bonus of 2% on all experience they earn. See HELP OUTLAW for more information. &0FCLAN WARFARE&02 - Clans can choose to be either social or hostile. Hostile clans can openly attack each other anywhere. Clans earn Pkills on their clan roster for killing members of rival clans. Being killed by another hostile clan will cost you gold. If you do not have enough gold on hand to cover the death, then the remainder will come from your clan's bankroll. If you and your clan cannot cover the cost of the pkill then you will lose experience. Clan members who are a part of the top ranking hostile clan will earn a bonus of 5% on all experience gained. This is cumulative with the outlaw bonus if you are both outlaw and clan hostile. &0FZONE PKILL&02 - There are two types of PK zones - Neutral PKILL (NPK) and Chaotic PKILL (CPK). In NPK zones you will not lose your corpse or stats/exp upon being killed by another player. In CPK zones you suffer a full death just like you if you were killed by an NPC. When you enter such a zone you will be warned automatically. You cannot summon someone from a non-pkill area to a pkill area. &0FPLAYER THIEF&02 - Stealing, by definition, is a dangerous profession. If you fail a steal on a PC, you will get a "thief" flag. Once you have a thief flag, you can be attacked and be killed by any player (whether or not they are an outlaw). Once you die, the flag goes away until you fail another steal. Stealing is also supposed to be a stealthy profession. If you brag about stealing in front of your victim or on a communication channel an immortal may intervene and set your thief flag. You must be level 15 to attempt to steal from someone. &0F NOTE: IF YOU EXPLOIT A BUG TO ATTACK ANOTHER PLAYER, YOU WILL BE KILLED. &02 You can only attack people up to 3 levels below your level and up to 4 levels above your level including noble levels. Outlaws can attack others up to 10 levels above or below their current level. Anyone can attack pthieves of any level but you will only gain pkills if the thief is within 15 levels. More info on PKill battles can be found under 'HELP BLOODY HANDS'. There is a banner at Market Square in Midgaard that shows the ranking of the top player killers.
